The work, while it is still going wrong.
Most of what an expedition actually consists of never makes it into a film. Route research that leads nowhere. A part that fits on paper and not in the truck. A permit rule that changes the plan. A season that closes early.
The journal is where that goes — written from the planning table and the tailgate rather than reconstructed afterwards. Five categories carry it: expedition planning, vehicle development, mini expeditions, field notes, and behind the film. Entries publish here first and the RSS feed is open if you would rather not rely on an algorithm to tell you.
